About Conserverie Courtin (since 1893)
The Courtin canning factory, created in 1893, is the oldest factory of Concarneau and belongs to the city historical heritage.
At the beginning, the canning factory worked with fresh tuna disembarked on the slipway in front of the factory as well as the scallops cooked with fresh butter and pickled in big stoneware terrine dishes (unaltered recipe since 1893).
Then, with the passing years, the Courtin canning factory was specialized in the fabrication of fish soups, lobster bisque, crayfish bisque, fish rillettes, always produced in the pure respect of traditional recipes without colorant, flour and other preservatives.
